@signulll Yeah I used to think creativity meant making something novel. But now I believe it exists before making. Creativity to me is how often you’re taking in a wide range of inputs—because the more you absorb, the more surprising the remixes you can with them.

Self expression is the reason I'm a Product Designer today. I recently picked up pottery for the same reason and the deeper I go, the more I realize that many of the skills you practice as a potter are very similar to those you practice as a designer. I'll explain:

Kiln haul: coffee table bowl. I experimented with a transparent glaze over blue which gave it a sparkly depth. Unfortunately had some crawling in the top of the bowl due to applying too much glaze. See the last pic for what blue w/o transparent looks like.

about 2 months ago I decided to get more involved in tech twitter after years of just lurking and I’m so glad I did. the discussions here are unmatched and I’m a better designer as a result of them. I cant think of another industry with a space like this. We’re really lucky.

Bump by Amo does the absolute most to get you to enable location permissions, even taking over your Dynamic Island. Curious if this kind of pushiness actually drives enable rates or just signals that the core product isn’t compelling enough to share location.

@Jall_n yeah it's wild how quickly spaces get commoditized and become a race to the bottom on price or a brand war. I saw the same thing in the food delivery space.
