Wrote about Vikings possibly trading Diggs in January and it was called clickbait.
Wrote about Wolves trading for Russell and January in December and it was called clickbait.
I don't write clickbait.
Why does Anthony Edwards enjoy Memphis so much?
"Because they talk so much trash. Even the kids. The kids was the worst ones. Even eight years old, 10 years old, ‘Anthony go sit down! You suck!’ It’s just fun. Basketball is fun to me. I love it."
KAT: "That Karl died on April 13. He ain't coming back. You're talking to the physical me ... That man you're talking about from April 13 or before, I don't know him. He ain't there."
UK v. Duke in Indy tonight. Tyus was looking for a flight from LA to see his brother Tre's first game. Couldn't get one to work. Jimmy Butler heard him and chartered a private jet for the two of them.
Here’s all I have to say: what were the Wolves and their fans supposed to do? The same people criticizing the celebration say how players these days don’t care enough like they used to. Now they care too much? Get. Out. Of. Here.
For those who don't know, Jacqueline Cruz made the world go 'round for the Towns family. She was the light. The energy. The beating heart. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed her spirit. My thoughts are with
@KarlTowns
and the entire family.
Towns: "I don't personally do not believe there should be an All-Star game."
Went on to deadpan: "But what do I know? What experience have I had with COVID?"
Anthony Edwards nails the Giannis analysis:
"With a guy like that you can’t stress about him scoring. That’s what he gonna do. Muh-fucker’s like 7-2, 280 pounds. Shit, we put four people on him and he’ll still score the ball. "
Every day I see a new excuse why people ain’t getting the vaccine. Ya starting to get creative with these “reasons” though and it’s actually really funny.
In their previous 34 years of existence, the Timberwolves spent a grand total of 10 days as the outright No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
After beating Utah, the Wolves have been the outright No. 1 for 10 days THIS SEASON.*

’s great

The Minnesota Timberwolves are 15-4. They have held the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference for the last 12 days.
In their 34 previous seasons in the league, they had sole possession of first place in the West for 10 days total. In 34 years.
Some the most uplifting, inspiring, good-for-the-soul days on this job have been when I’ve had a chance to get close to Special Olympics athletes. This is heartbreaking and infuriating. It is also not a political tweet. It’s a human one.
More than 450 Target Center employess -- ushers, concession workers, change-over, etc. -- showed up to a nice little gift tonight. A signed card and $50 from Rudy Gobert, thanking them for all they do for the Wolves.
Target Center arena ushers and workers got an early holiday gift when they showed up today: A personally signed card from Rudy Gobert with $50 in it for each of them. Really nice gesture from the big man, who did it last season as well.
Towns waving bye bye to the Lakers as he exits the game. The Wolves are actively punking the Lakers, primarily Westbrook, all night long. Russ gave it to players for years. Now he's getting it back.
Rick Carlisle on MIN: "This is one of the best teams on the planet. These guys have really got it going here. The building is alive, the environment is way different than it used be. I take my hat off to Tim Connelly and his operation for everything they’ve done, new ownership."
This is my 20th season writing about the Timberwolves. This is the best Wolves team I’ve ever covered.
Wolves fans: now is not the time to worry about 2025, second aprons or tax bills.
Now is the time to enjoy a team on a roll like we’ve never seen.
3-time MLB MVP Alex Rodriguez and close friend Marc Lore have signed a letter of intent and are negotiating with Glen Taylor to become the next owners of the Minnesota Timberwolves, sources tell
@TheAthletic
The Timberwolves are over the moon about landing Rudy Gobert. This is the player they believed raised their ceiling more than any other available one. Lots of celebrating internally right now.
KAT says he has lost six other family/relations from COVID in addition to his mother. "I'm the one looking for answers to try to keep my family well informed and make all the moves necessary to keep them alive."
All Anthony Edwards heard before the draft was he doesn’t love the game. He doesn’t want it. Now he loves it too much? He wants it too much? Sports are meant to be ENJOYED. Fans deserved last night for all they’ve been through. Go crazy. Soak it up. And don’t apologize for it.

say that Rubio quickly warmed to the idea of a return to Minnesota when the subject was raised to him. He wants to be a part of making the Wolves a playoff team.
Either Mike Zimmer dictated the ultra-conservative game plan or he elevated an unproven offensive coordinator to do it. Either way, an incredible face plant for the Vikings.
Butler ended up not being able to make the trip. Let Tyus Jones take the plane himself. So Tyus is there for the big night and will be back in plenty of time for the Lakers game tomorrow night.
Tim Connelly has taken a ton of heat for the Gobert trade. It certainly has been warranted at times. But Kyle Anderson is maybe the best FA signing in Wolves history and the Conley-NAW-3 2nds swap for Russell is looking mighty, mighty good right now.
No Steph, no LeBron the rest of the way. That doesn't have to be a bad thing for the NBA. There is so much talent in the league. Sooner or later others have to get their chance on the stage. Here it is.
No one wants to hear this, but it's clear this illness has ravaged the Wolves. Towns said it hit him hard.
Edwards was throwing up at halftime and laying in the tunnel when he was not in the game. Rivers wasn't even there tonight.
Horrible timing.
If Kirk Cousins wears a mask when he's supposed to, abides by the protocols that are set in place and respects those who see things differently, I'm not sure what more can be asked of him.
Dumbest controversy ever. Maybe the Lakers should have shown 1/10th the care factor this season that the Wolves did last night. Maybe that would’ve helped? OK, I’m done.
I've covered this league for almost 2 decades. Ryan Saunders is as honorable a person as I've ever come across in the NBA. This was a deeply personal job for him. He cares about the Wolves more than anyone. I guarantee no one is more crushed that it didn't work out than him.
Do NOT act like you’ve been there before. Party and strut like legends, like a team that put a country on its shoulders, that brushed off sneering blowhards, that has always been the rightful headliner over the men, that is the deserved model for little girls AND boys back home
How will Finch coach the All-Stars?
Anthony Edwards: "I think we’re just going to take all the mid-rangers out of the game. If one of the starters, like Shai or somebody, shoots a midrange, I’mma be like, ‘Finchy, we don’t allow those right there.’"
MIN 114, BOS 109, OT. Wolves win a hellacious game.
Edwards: 38, 8r, 7a
McDaniels: 20
Gobert: 14, 12r
The Timberwolves are the only team to beat Denver and Boston this season.
Anthony Edwards couldn't speak with the media today because he had to rush home and pack and get two puppies to a dog sitter before they leave for Memphis. Life of a 20-year-old.
@Antjr1_
: I blame you! :-)
Building on this: A team, whose coach LED THEM TO THE NBA FINALS, dubbed the coach's actions so egregious that he was suspended for a year days before the season, then allowed to go to a division rival with no compensation in return. None of that was a red flag for the Nets.
Edwards on Jaden McDaniels: "Show me a clip where he got scored on in a 1-on-1 situation. They ISO'd him 10 times in the 4th and nobody scored on him. So he was the reason we won the game. And he hit 3, 4 big shots in the 4th, 2 in OT. We don't win that game if he not playing."
Derrick Rose was emotional talking about All-Star returns:
"I don’t sell myself to people. It’s not me. That’s not my character. I don’t have an Instagram. I don’t have any of that. It comes from me being in people’s minds for some reason and people really caring."
