This is *easily* my least favorite picture of all time. By a mile. My dad was nervous but still so eager and confident to fight cancer. He was never given a fair shot and was gone 16 days later. Today is the anniversary of that brutal farewell.

Ben Johnson on Caleb Williams' inconsistent footwork as it relates to accuracy issues: "When he was doing it properly, the ball came out on time and I thought he was delivering accurate footballs. But it’s still not 100 percent all the time. And that’s something we’re working

Ben Johnson on this weekend's reunion with Dan Campbell at Ford Field: "That friendship is always going to be there. I view him like family and I think he would tell you the same thing. That will never change. We have fond memories of back when I was just a young, snot-nosed

WEEK 1 REVIEW Unofficial Caleb Williams report card of his 47 called passing plays vs. Vikings 🌟— 3 plays (star power) 👍— 12 plays (very nice) ⭕️ — 18 plays 👎— 9 plays (substandard) 🤢— 5 plays (gross) (Includes 6 scrambles and 4 penalty “no plays”)

Bears had a golden opportunity Monday night to double dip on both sides of halftime. Could have easily turned 7-3 into 17-3. Instead? After kicking a FG in final minute of Q2, they surrendered a long completion and long FG and then had an abysmal three-and-punt to open 3Q.

“Here we go again” — or — “This is different”? That fierce tug-of-war is back in Chicago for Week 2. For the Bears, @kfishbain and I play a game of what exactly was that and what’s next? https://t.co/ipAz42KI2h

It may not be until the Bears are back in the playoffs that that suffocating “Here we go again” vibe fully dissipates in Chicago.

Four first-half false starts by the Bears on Monday. One was during a mistimed snap with a motion in play. Two had two OL jumping simultaneously. What gives? And how does it get corrected ASAP? I asked Ben Johnson. Ben: "I guess silent cadence, right? Maybe that’ll help here

This is a QB1 league. The Bears’ QB1 has to be way better with consistently handling QB1 duties. One step further is the tale as old as time: when there are game-changing plays there to be made, make them. The over-the-middle misses to DJ and Cole are hard to figure.

Almost done with the rewatch of last night. It’s preposterous the Bears let this game get away so quickly and in such sloppy fashion. It’s a tone-setting game and they had their foot on the door to slam it closed in Q3. How they wound up in a 10-point deficit is mystifying.

Bad calls happen. Every week. To every team. And the Bears were on the wrong end of several really rough ones Monday night. But ... good teams overcome bad calls. Plain and simple.

By @jon_greenberg ... "The Bears’ 27-24 loss to Minnesota wasn’t inexplicable or unbelievable. It was explicable. It was believable. There was magic in the air at Soldier Field. As in the Bears had the game in hand and then, poof, a W turned into an L." https://t.co/fWuyr5uyca

Williams had pinpoint precision to begin the 2025 season, then things fell apart and he missed receivers by a lot.

Ahead by 11 points with a legitimate chance to land a knockout punch, the Bears instead stumbled, swung wildly and somehow knocked themselves out. Then the Vikings dropped an anvil on them. About last night ... https://t.co/mXBumgtbcW

Late in the third quarter Monday night, the Bears seemed ready to put the Vikings away. Until a comedy of errors swung the game.

That's a three-play, 51-second go-ahead TD drive by the Vikings, who tack on the 2-point conversion for a 20-17 fourth quarter lead. Ugly unraveling by the Bears.
