No credible economist who surveyed the wreckage to Bangladesh’s economy during Hasina’s kleptocratic rule would agree with this assessment. If the July Revolution had not removed her from power there was a good chance than the looming economic collapse would have done so.

This is the kind of aspirational politics that could ideally come out of the July Revolution. I hope the BNP and other parties share their visions for the future and clearly articulate how they will harness the energy and hope demonstrated by Gen-Z.
