The latest report from the U.S. Drought Monitor shows no drought conditions in Will and Kendall Counties. Quite obvious with the amount of rain we have received recently. Drastic change from one month ago when we were in a severe drought. #ilwx

The heavy rain is gone but some flooding issues remain. Heed the advisories and warnings that have been issued. Any body of water can certainly rise after the rain including rivers, creeks, streams, retention ponds and lakes. Fortunately only minor flooding is expected. #ilwx

Round two brought even more rain. In just an hour time span a total of 1.52” of rain fell in Joliet leading to additional flash flooding across the area. (11:10pm-12:10am). Combined total of 2.83” thus far. #ilwx @NWSChicago
