In an age of deep fakes, toxic influencers and algorithmic influence, teaching young people how to think critically about what encounter online isn’t just a nice to have. I set out in @LabourList why the curriculum’s new focus on media literacy matters 👉 https://t.co/yNv58CXfhS

At its core the battle for NYC was the politics of fear and division against the politics of hope. This is a fantastic moment we can all celebrate whatever our politics, left or right because hope won🙌 Hope won there and it can win here. Many many congratulations to a young man

New Yorkers faced a clear choice - between hope and fear - and just like we've seen in London - hope won. Huge congratulations to @ZohranKMamdani on his historic campaign.

When I was 17, I worked in McDonald’s to pay my rent while at uni. I was paid half of what a 25yo colleague doing the exact same job earned, just because of my age. Wages based on age belong in the bin. Proud that Labour is committed to that - in stark contrast to this lot.

The attack on the Doncaster London train on Saturday night was evil and unconscionable. Passengers may carry emotional and physical scars for years. But an arrest of a deranged murderous individual within 8 minutes? And all round heroism. On this occasion ‘broken’ Britain worked.
