(1/3) Twitter’s own policy defines government-funded media as cases where the government “may have varying degrees of government involvement over editorial content,” which is clearly not the case with CBC/Radio-Canada. →

What are the best books you’ve read about personal practices (or habits, disciplines, or rules) for people who want to contribute to transforming systems (i.e. to creating a better world)?

Here's a fantastic booklist from @chriscorrigan. These are books that support the practice of hosting, participatory leadership and working in complexity: https://t.co/XGtfekw5FC Thank you @EfficiencyPlus for suggesting this.

After leading her country through a terror attack, pandemic, and the birth of her own child, Jacinda Ardern gave her final address to New Zealand's Parliament. "You can be anxious, sensitive, kind, and wear your heart on your sleeve...and you can lead." https://t.co/6CCzzYvhBV

Time and again, the media shows how drastically they misunderstand what it means to stammer. Using it to infer a person is incompetent, anxious, untrustworthy or otherwise is ableist. What other disability/difference experiences this kind of flippant metaphor? #stammer

"Be yourself. It's your superpower," said @Semaken. Lovely, powerful piece from @AdamLeventhal on Sema's post-match interview at Watford last week, when he spoke - confidently - with a stammer. It's been viewed more than 11.5m times https://t.co/qdrBhC9bW2

Is "change management" still relevant? No says @Martha_Edwards. It's essentially a set of tactics to make it easier to impose change on people & overcome resistance to change. Rather, we should be designing change with & around the people affected by it: https://t.co/eXbhKHPMPH

7.6million views. What an impact Ken is having, raising awareness about #stammering and showing it’s possible to stammer with confidence, humility and with a smile. @Semaken is a legend. And thanks to @WatfordFC for introducing Ken to the worldwide stammering community. @stammer

Love the support from this tweet! But I agree with @stammer and @JohnRKenney organisations have to watch the language they use when referencing stammering. Not further spreading false narratives and negative tropes. @Semaken Keep speaking the way you speak🙏🏾🙏🏾
Watford’s Ken Sema suffers with a stutter, but he bravely came out and did the post-match interview last night... ❤️ This will really help a lot of people. Anyone who suffers with a stammer knows how hard and deflating it can be. Brilliant @Semaken! 👏

❤️ this but... He doesn't look or sound like he's suffering to me. He scored twice and led his team to victory. He's elated. And he happens to stutter. Doing fearless interviews like this + changing the narrative that we "suffer" with a stutter will help reduce the stigma.

Dear reader, 1897 will soon be gone, old Santa Claus and his reindeer will be stalking into our fair town with a pack full to gladden the hearts of the young and the aged, ‘perhaps a little whiskey for the older ones,’ who knows? Dalhousie Dec 23 1897

Team Topologies is not a "model" but a set of constraints to encourage emergent behaviours. (That's what I have realized since writing the book, anyhow). #TeamTopologies
