I have come across a few stuck Honewell 3-port valves recently, so thought I would share a page i did about the topic. There valves are designed to be repaired, not replaced!

For multi-zone houses. Why has nobody developed stats that 'encourage' zones to operate together. Even 'resetting' the diff. of all stats, after a compressor start, could 'entice' other zones to start. Surely a need for this? have I missed it?.

For anyone who has not seen it, this informative update from Glyn Hudson on his #ASHP in his old cottage is definitely worth a watch.

Can anyone help? I have the idea to replicate this 44 year-old pedal-powered #heatpump model for @centre_alt_tech 50th birthday 19th Aug. Where can I get a car AC compressor? Anyone know a friendly car breaker? any belt-drive compressor should do.

Good to see this 10-year-old @Openenergymon GLCD still working well on a wind turbine today.

Does anyone know the thinking behind the Permitted Development ruling that only one ASHP within curtilage of a property?.

Finally put a 'type-in-the-values' version of my Simulators. Useful for quick back of envelope assessments of cylinder sizes/times, radiator sizes, flowrates etc.

It seems that the actual problem was a combination of unfamiliarity and dodgy buttons. jumping between 2011,2012,2021 etc with the up/down arrows is quite hit & miss, but doable. Working MUCH better now with lower curve setting and house reported warm enough.

Anyone conversant with this Samsung ASHP controller (6 year old?). Its beaten me! Cannot puzzle out how to change the heating curve. It gives the 'no function' icon. What am I doing wrong? I have even read the instructions!!. no help

Even if an immersion is at very bottom. its never low enough. Maybe overnight 'soak' would conduct heat down. Have seen immersions 1/2 way up doing legionella!. pointless!? De-strat circ pump (plastic) seems a good solution, then use much lower legionella setting. I use 50C.
