I met with His Holiness Pope Francis and H. E. Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations.
We expressed satisfaction for shared good relations and discussed the commitment of the Holy Church in Belize.

Sunday was celebrated globally as Good Deed Day. My wife invited Hon. Kevin Bernard and I to join her in this initiative. We used the day to sit with seniors and interacting with residents across our Orange Walk Central community.

We wish the ladies well as they vie for the title that will see one of them represent us internationally. Best wishes to all the young ladies and congratulations to the organizers.

April 5th - Palestinian Children's Day is observed bring focus to Palestinian children who live under extremely difficult conditions.
With the current Israeli-Hamas War impact on the people of Gaza we join the global call for respect of human rights, especially children rights.

Our thoughts are with the government, people and our friends of Taiwan. This morning a 7.2 magnitude earthquake occurred just offshore the east coast of the island nation, and felt in its capital city Taipei and many counties. The quake experienced was the strongest in 25 years.

Signed and sealed... the agreement with the stevedores and their CWU representatives has been effected.
The work continues as we ensure the Port of Belize remains a viable critical infrastructure supporting national development.

We had a productive session today with representatives for the stevedores, who are members of the CWU. Along with several of our Ministers, we engaged in a cordial discussion and arrived at an agreement. The legal advisors will now represent that in a legal document to be signed.

We're on the right track... unemployment is down and the economy rebounded aggressively in 2021 and 2023/24 show an economy steadily growing.
Unemployment down from 14% to 3.4%. The economy growing at a steady 10.4%.
Steady hands... steady economic growth... for ALL Belize 🇧🇿.
