Games journalism has turn into a corroded profession,.where sensationalism and doubt is pushed. Facts are updated articles with no retractions, and egos of those with massive followers with blue checkmarks look at the general public like peasants and they cant be questioned.

I feel that as per Phil, all projects & games would continue development, but Satya & the board, his bosses, ordered him, Sarah, & Booty to cut teams and projects, leaving him no choice but to comply. The big evil monster IMO is Microsoft and its board mambers not XBOX itself.

Anthem servers are shutting down on January 12, 2026 at which time the game will no longer be playable. Also, Anthem is leaving EA Play on August 15.

Important to note PlayStation still view their live service and single-player games differently. Live-service: Needs lots of players to maintain the game. Day and date PC and PS5. Now can be Xbox later too. Single-player: Tentpole titles that attract people to the PS platform.
