The siren song of federated, cross-internet transclusion is strong. Resist them until your single-player mode is flawless!.

Closing browser tabs should be like Tinder: Swipe right if you think it could be useful at some point and swipe left if it’s a distraction. At the right time and place the tab could message you: ā€žHey, I think I could be a useful, inspiring, guiding resource hereā€œ.

We'll have AGI before I can get a document from my German registration office. The guy on the phone literally said: ā€œPlease expect a wait of 2-3 years.ā€ When I asked if they use LLMs to speed up work, he joked that they use scanners and fax machines. @_FriedrichMerz please fix!.

@argyleink Do you have any suggestions on how to better deal with the small imprecision and make the buffer obsolete for this CSS-only Masonry grid?šŸ™.

Here's a simplified demo + code of my above version:. In my application, I also dynamically account for the length of the card text, font size and width of different character shapes.

Masonry layout in pure CSS?.The trick is to use grid-auto-rows: 20px on the container, then set each card’s height using grid-row-end: span š’³. For š’³ we calculate how many ā€˜rows’ tall a card should be based on the column width and aspect ratio. With tan() we get a unitless value

I find brands that quote/ retweet the posts of their employees instead of sharing them ā€œanonymouslyā€ on their corporate website more authentic. The future of brand communication is an umbrella brand (with shared beliefs & values) that gathers a multitude of real personal brands.

What if homes touched the earth lightly, not forever?.Architecture unshackled from land, guided by lightness, longevity, and logic. Let’s build housing that’s as adaptable as we are.

This model unlocks:.- Lower costs (no notary, no land purchase, fewer interest payments to the bank).- Circular construction.- Community-driven land management.- Resilience against housing crises & speculation bubbles.- Homes defined by intelligence and intent, not by permanence.

Ownership shifts from soil to structure. You lease the land (say, 99 years), but fully own your home. It’s financeable, mobile, sustainable. No speculation. No mortgages tied to dirt. Housing becomes infrastructure, not commodity

Imagine this: HOMES THAT DON’T TOUCH THE GROUND.šŸļø The land stays in public or community hands.šŸ“¦ Your home is precision-engineered, modular, demountable, & built for disassembly.šŸ”Œ It ā€œdocksā€ onto pillar foundation. No land ownership, no notary, no property transfer headaches

Buying a home today means navigating lawyers, legacy systems, and excessive fees – sometimes 15% of the purchase price. We’ve accepted this as normal. Why is transferring shelter more complex than buying a car? What if we could rethink housing from the ground up – literally?

Is there a standard for comment syntax that agentic code tools should ignore? .Similar to a preprocessor directive that excludes specific lines from the context.

IMO, owning a self-driving car will only make sense if you treat its onboard supercomputer like an Airbnb. Renting out its processing power during the 95% of the time it sits idle.

We have gone from:.engineerĀ Ā <|>Ā Ā designer Ā <|>Ā Ā user.to:.design-engineerĀ Ā <|>Ā Ā user.to now:.user-design-engineer. Tools that still use separate language systems will fall behind. You need to build bridges so people can talk to each other and the system they use async/sync.

Fast syntax highlighting in < 100 lines of code with. No DOM manipulation. No gazillion spans. Just a single <div>. Can you guess how?
