I am getting the feeling that pastors are responding more to the “fear of social media backlash” than to the “fear of the Lord.”

Being financially independent while aspiring to contribute to PR has become progressively challenging in recent years. The latest hurdle involves a policy restricting individuals, who are not full-time staff, from subbing or participating in worship teams.

And they’re probably others to confirm this, but I believe at the last staff meeting one of the key issues brought up was the lack of funding moving forward.
And I believe there are donors, requesting millions to be refunded.

I’d argue that his strategy of “covering sin in love” has kept those in sexual sin stuck in bondage, and caused great harm.
And argue that his pursuit of 24/7 prayer at the expense of 20,000 intern and staff, mission over people, has done great harm to the body of Christ.
