How come if I was to get my L (class 8L) the duration is for TWO years but the 6L which I have..the duration is 9 months! Once again pointing out how many months BC has that are rideable and how hard it is to get a test booked within that time.

I’m just trying to bring awareness to this issue because it’s rather annoying. Maybe before Covid it was okayish, but with road tests rarely available and booking months in advance, it’s hard to even get in before having to redo all the steps.

For me to get my full license on my motorcycle (and make sure I feel comfortable on the road and not rush) I’m going to have to redo BOTH the knowledge test and MST probably twice before I’m even able to do my full license motorcycle road test. I’m not the only one.

I understand that. I have had my full license for 10+ years. I’m talking about the L’s duration for motorcycles is valid (not even 12 months) in a province that barely gets 4 rideable months. With Covid most people can’t even book the full in time and have to redo everything
@Jessicaadawn Hi Jessica, I understand your frustration about learner’s licenses expiring. Unfortunately we cannot extend them as the graduated licensing program (GLP) is legislated and the requirements cannot be waived. ^ap

I got my L in September and it expires in 2 days, not even a year…. I don’t know about you but end of September until like April are horrible to ride. Covid has back up the availability for test for so long. I really think you should reassess the whole situation.

To redo the Knowledge test and MSA test. I’ve had like no good days to even try to practice and the L isn’t even good for a whole year….. you really need to do something about this. I’m not the only one negatively affected by this 2/2

Hey @icbc, I don’t know if you know this but in BC we don’t have a lot of good days to ride our motorcycles and with COVID it’s hard to even find a time to book the full motorcycle license test. Which means that even before we get any time to practice on the road we have 1/2

@PurolatorInc did it today. They are usually pretty good, happens less often than fedex at least. Mildly annoying.

Online shopping is getting more and more annoying with company’s like @FedEx and @PurolatorInc. I live in a high rise that has a concierge. There’s no way that “someone wasn’t home” at the time of delivery.
