This was my first apartment in NYC 26 years ago. It was 18 feet long and 10 feet wide. I shared it with a roommate. I paid roughly $375 a month. I slept in this crawl space for 2 years. The ceiling was 4 feet high.

There is an old Japanese ritual called Misogi. The notion is you do something so hard 1x a year. Something BIG and year defining.
My 2022 Misogi is complete. ULTRAMAN. 6.2 mile open water swim, 261 mile bike and 52.4 mile run. ✅.

There is a short window before our kids grow up. Very short. You can NEVER get that time back. If my kids want to play (or even if they just ask me to watch them do flips)...I’m NEVER too tired for that. EVER.

Feb 4th....4 miles. ☑️
Everyday this month I’m running the amount of miles equivalent to the corresponding day of the month. So on Feb 21...I run 21 miles. The last week is basically the equivalent of 7 marathons. Always wanted to do this!
