These cases are absolutely inundating dockets across the country and have been since July. Operation Metro Surge in Minnesota has been a key driver of new cases lately. Earlier:

Judge Jennifer REARDEN becomse the first Biden-nominated judge to side with the Trump administration's view of mandatory detention for people in deportation proceedings. Judges have gone 345-20 against the admin's view, but DHS has won a few lately. https://t.co/HmR6yErANZ

The 8th circuit panel that brushed back DOJ? One Obama appointee, two Trump appointees. Importantly though, one of those Trump appointees said DOJ clearly had probable cause for the arrests — they just had other means to get the warrants authorized. https://t.co/LSDy1vNPM6

The chief federal judge in Minnesota lit into DOJ for portraying the church disruption as an urgent matter. "There is absolutely no emergency," George W. Bush appointed Patrick Schlitz wrote, calling the effort "frivolous." https://t.co/LSDy1vNPM6

NEW: In sealed proceedings yesterday, DOJ put intense pressure on federal judges in Minnesota to authorize the arrest of Don Lemon and others — until they were brushed back by an appeals court last night. But even more notable... w/ @joshgerstein

President Trump pardoned multiple people who carried guns to the Capitol on Jan. 6, including one who fired his gun into the air.
Q: Did he brandish a gun? KRISTI NOEM: This individual showed up to impede a law enforcement operation and assaulted our officers. I don't know of any peaceful protester that shows up with a gun and ammunition rather than a sign. This is a violent riot when you have someone

@kyledcheney Good Lord. No reason to arrest, no reason to hold, but refusing to release nonetheless. Maybe ICE can't find lawyers to answer these cases?

Huh - the courts say what ICE is doing is subhuman. Maybe we should all listen? Maybe?
Since July, I've tracked at least 2,300 cases in which federal judges have ruled ICE has illegally detained people without bond or due process. This is one that stands out: https://t.co/qSfcJJG5Zv

@kyledcheney you should add the other note - the judge ordered release and to not move him outside of MN. the feds both moved him to texas, are refusing to cooperate, AND have denied access to his lawyer

I’m speaking out now because the rule of law is what holds our society together and is a functional prerequisite to our prosperity. And I have seen no sign whatsoever that this administration cares even a little bit about the rule of law, or the truth.

An Operation PARRIS arrest means he was a full-blown refugee with 100% lawful status, on a clear path directly to a green card and eventual citizenship. With Operation PARRIS DHS is arresting recently-arrived refugees and sending them to Texas to be interrogated and “re-vetted.”
