PreK computer scientists at @HawthorneES learned about Rosa Parks and then used algorithms to make Colby the mouse act out her bus boycott. Future computer engineers in 3rd grade used Makey Makey hardware to control different software. #BCPS_CSI @CTE_BaltCoPS

These kindergarten future coders at @Campfield_ELC were so excited to make their own mazes for Colby and Jack and then write an algorithm to get him to the cheese! They got lots of practice learning how to work in partners. #bcps_csi @CTE_BaltCoPS

Why were second graders at @CatonsvilleES stacking plastic cups? Because these future computer scientists were using symbols & sequences to write algorithms that their “robot” friends could execute successfully. I loved hearing them debug their code. #bcps_csi @CTE_BaltCoPS

Also at @SparksES_BCPS today, second grade future computer scientists looked for patterns and used loops to make their programs more efficient. One rockstar figured out an efficiency that was even better than the @codeorg goal of 10 blocks! #bcps_csi @CTE_BaltCoPS

Assignments are all paper & most incomplete assignments are because Ss create art at different rates & I moved on when the majority of the class was done. But multiply that by 5 assignments & different kids who were fast or slow for each one & it’s chaos! Thoughts? 3/3 #arted
