Gerry Connolly was a friend and a mentor to me, someone who I could always count on to have my back and be by my side. I’m devastated by his death. Northern Virginia lost a true champion today. My heart goes out to his family, staff, and the people of #VA11.

My PSP battle isn’t stopping me from campaigning for a better future for my kids and all American families. I first ran for Congress because of my kids, and I’m still fighting hard as ever to elect leaders like @KamalaHarris who will give our kids every opportunity to succeed.

Our differences don’t have to divide us. @BarbaraComstock and I ran a tough campaign against each other in 2018, but we’re coming together now to support @KamalaHarris. Democrats and Republicans can agree there’s too much at stake for the future of our democracy this election.
