Waited in line again to see what was going on. “Oh we didn’t call your name because we thought you were renting from Hertz” WTF @thriftycars this sucks. Finally got a car. Went up to the lot. Dozens of cars here. Scarcity was a total BS move. Never again.
Truly unhelpful response from @thriftycars It’s been an hour and a half since I entered the rental car lobby. Staff are ignoring the people they told to wait.

.@thriftycars Your PDX operation is a joke. I’ve been waiting an hour past my reservation time for my rental car, lots of others waiting ahead of me. Staff are unhelpful. Other local locations don’t have cars either.

I’ve been telling rooms full of teachers about this study for months now. None of them are ever surprised. Grading fatigue is a real thing. Grade bottom up, skip around, take breaks, compare scores with a colleague, use an AI assistant tool, welcome student resubmissions.
