So glad to see this piece in @statnews on the toll of the lockdowns in CA women's prisons. Great reporting by @taylormajewski who spoke with folks inside, expanding research we did on COVID with folks released in 2020. Grateful as always to @c_c_w_p for the collaboration!.
For @statnews, I spent the last few months talking with incarcerated people at the largest women's prison in the world and found an unfolding, disturbing mental health crisis .
