📣 Publishing folk, are we listening? The #ReflectingRealities 2023 report is out, and the numbers are a hard read: 📉 17% of UK kids’ books featured racially minoritised characters (down from 30% in 2022). 📉 7% had racially minoritised main characters (halved from 14%). This
🔊 Our 7th annual #ReflectingRealities report is out now! This year’s report shows a significant drop in the presence of racially minoritised characters in books published for children in 2023 in the UK.
