There are many schools taking actions to improve working time for teachers, my own trust being one of them. Every teacher, including the head teacher, has one day off a fortnight and it's been absolutely transformational. We also still have the same PPA as we normally would!
It isn’t a four-day week. It’s 20% PPA, and that’s what’s needed. So many parents are dropping a day and going part-time just so they can effectively work full-time and still have some quality family time at the weekend.

Someone said my eyes were extremely blue this morning. The sun was making a massive difference. Really enjoyed teaching today. Really enjoying teaching again over all! Very happy!

Ofsted say leaders should feel “energised, not anxious” about the inspection changes... but when their own review warns of increased workload, trial inspections feel worse and the Big Listen still hasn’t been published, it’s no wonder the profession isn’t buying it. Trust isn’t
