There’s a deep sadness that sits in my stomach, like a heavy stone. How have we become, what we have become? When is this hate going to stop? It’s too hard to read about it. It’s too hard to ignore it. Sending love and light to all who need it out there. You are loved. Yes you.

Seeing the end of incredible outlets like @okayplayer are why i'm SO focused on building companies and platforms sustainably, the art has no where to live if we don't develop ways to sustain editors, curators and teams.

You've gotta be unashamedly, unequivocally, willing to put yourself out there and be your fullest self. The world needs the truest version of your soul, not some honky tonk version of who you think you should be.

Wonder why the music industry is so fucked up? I urge everybody in music to look in the mirror and truly assess if you may be contributing to the problem in any possible way. Then fix yourself. The future of music is in our hands. This is a real responsibility.

Many record labels are understaffed across all departments—commerce, digital, publicity, production, you name it. If you're thinking about signing a deal, take into account the label's roster size for your genre and their average weekly release volume. Resources aren't plentiful.
