7 days later and life is still a bit all over the place. Still waiting for spring. (So cold). Off to help a local business clean up from the ice storm this morning.......hopefully with some sunshine for a change.

Im trying to process the last 8 days. They have been quite crazy. Lockdown at the kids school, ice storm, power out, school closed, more weather, teenager on walkabout at 3am, issues at work related to power outages, seeing an old friend and probly more I now forget. #springchaos

Info from the BBC "USAID, founded in 1961, has a budget of around $40bn (£32.25bn) per year, amounting to roughly 0.6% of federal spending, according to official figures." So thousands of people might lose their jobs & aid might be cut to save 0.6% of federal spending. Huh.

Winter is blasting us this year. Its been years since we've had a serious winter like this. The school buses are cancelled again, the snow needs shovelling off the driveway and paths, the winds are whipping and the temps are frigid. I like it but its exhausting too.

Dumbest thing yesterday. Teen goes into school to pick up his school ID card (he's learning online so not in building often). Guy at desk asks him for ID to verify he's allowed to pick stuff up. Ummmm, look at the card you're giving him? Its got his photo on it? #edukashun

My teenager is learning to drive. I am both terrified and so proud all at the same time. He's good but he's still a teen AND a teen with inattentive ADHD. Thankfully my car is as old as him and came pre-scratched and dented so IF the worst happened, it would hurt less....I hope.

Winter finally showed up in our little spot in Ontario. Its been snowy and its been cold but until two days ago we had not had large amounts of snow and wind and cold together. And of course it was inconvenient. Had to miss an appt.....an important one.....

Finally 2024 is in the past. It was a strange year. Full of very unexpected things. Most of them good, if not mind blowing! What will 2025 be like? Im going for more friend and family time and more outside time. Hoping your year is as you wish also. #lifewithboys
