What a wonderful night! Mayor @JaneCastor, Tampa City Council, Chabad of South Tampa, @TampaFireRescue, @TampaPD, local officials and residents came together to celebrate Chanukah in the City with festivities, food, a gelt drop and, of course, the lighting of the first flame! 🕎

Had a wonderful time at the Belmont Heights Community event. It was truly special getting to see Fred Hearnes and Arthur Cole, and spending time with Noreen Miller’s lovely family. Moments like these remind us why Belmont Heights is such a treasured part of our city’s history.

Today has been a busy one with so many exciting community events! We made a quick stop for lunch at La Cabaña for their famous rotisserie chicken and warm hospitality. Did you know they’ve been serving amazing Colombian food in the community for over 25 years?!

Great day in Tallahassee yesterday, meeting with our local representatives and advocating to preserve our police & fire funding, for greater investments in stormwater, and for funding solutions to repair our roads and take transportation to the next level.

Remembering Rosa Parks, whose quiet courage & conviction had a profound impact.
70 years ago today, Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white passenger on a city bus in Montgomery, Alabama. The following Montgomery Bus Boycott - led by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. - was a turning point in the Civil Rights Movement.
