Det. Joe Nance's was on his way to a witness interview when his vehicle was forced off the road. He was seriously injured & died a few days later. Det. Nance was the department's first black police officer to die in the line of duty. Det. Nance, we honor you today & always.

Preparedness saves lives. Our Dive Team hosted SWET training for regional aviation units, simulating a worst-case helicopter water crash and teaching crews how to escape safely.
