It is with deep sorrow that I pass on the sad news that Jan Ivarsson has passed away, at the ripe old age of 93. He was one of the earliest giants of #AVT, on whose shoulders the discipline rests, and we all owe him a great deal. RIP Jan.

I just signed a book contract. My monograph on #metaphors in audiovisual translation has been accepted for #BTL John Benjamins Translation Library! #AVT #JustGloating.

Yesterday, the committee for the @ESIST_official Outstanding PhD Award met and decided on a shortlist of four candidates, out of the original ten. The plot thickens. We were all very impressed with the high level of scholarship that has been produced in #AVT recently.
