Empire Test Pilot School, final week complete. Last night I joined my classmates in going from students to graduates 🎓. It's been an incredibly tough year, and never thought I'd get to this day. Thanks for sticking with me. Test Pilot, day 1...

Can not fathom why, in movies, if blood is needed they slice the palm of their hands. Cut pretty much anywhere else and you won't lose half of your dexterity!

It appears that I missed an important milestone on the 18th November this year. After that date I have spent more days in the military than out of it, I can now say it's been half of my life in the mob.

Another weekend and another waterfall, this one feeds the Aberlour distillery, solid waterfall noise with a rock pool to swim in (which people were doing today, fair play to them!) nice little view on the way back to Charlestown. Half hour from home.

I don't post on here much these days, but found yet another waterfall (mini one and far away in this pic, but still counts). This time, in Keith. Even after 7 years here we are finding new places to explore.

Week 5 of my Cosmology module with the OU and Python is kicking my butt. I can only read through it for a couple mins before I need to take a break. Those who wrote this material are just so 'matter of fact'. It's like another language.

One of those events not everyone gets to see. Was great to be a part of the Battle of Britain ceremony at Westminster Abbey. Proud day #NewProfilePic

I was thinking so much about what I wanted to ask him about selection that I forgot to ask for a picture. Will have to try again next time!

Watched @astro_timpeake perform his "Astronauts: The Quest to Explore Space" show in Inverness last night. Brilliant show if you're into space history. He was kind to sign my copy of his book and talk to me about astronaut selection, which was very gracious of him. Great night!

We are saddened by the passing of Jim Lovell, commander of Apollo 13 and a four-time spaceflight veteran. Lovell's life and work inspired millions. His courage under pressure helped forge our path to the Moon and beyond—a journey that continues today. https://t.co/AjT8qmxsZI

The man front centre is an Aussie gent called Alan, an absolutely gentleman who I had the pleasure of flying with on Test Pilot school. Great to see him doing cool trials! One of the benefits of a multi-national and multi-discipline course is what people get up to afterwards.

The Grob G 115E, known as the Tutor T1 in RAF, served as a single-engine, two-seat training aircraft used primarily for elementary flight training. Built by Grob Aircraft in Germany between 1999 and 2002, it replaced the Scottish Aviation Bulldog T1.
