Uno what, as far as stopgap signings go this isn’t bad. A couple seasons ago I’d be confident in saying he’s better than Pope, he’s obviously had a dip in form past couple seasons and a drop in confidence so a loan with option to buy makes a lot of sense. Short term he could.
🚨⚪️⚫️ Newcastle have scheduled new round of talks to try get Aaron Ramsdale deal done with Southampton. Agreement close, heavy loan fee with buy option clause also included.

Loan with option to buy isn’t the worst thing in the world. Short term I can kinda of see the value of this but long term it doesn’t make much sense to me.

Absolutely no way at all at £80m, if we can bring them down to £65m I’d take that. Bring in a player like Wissa alongside him, then I think that’s a good way of replacing Isak, Sesko should remain priority though.

Very impressed by Elanga from a tactical pov today. As we know Eddie loves to give our wingers plenty of freedom, with Murphy on our rhs, our right half space/central threat has came from Tino who is given the freedom but today Elanga was that player with Trippier holding width.

I’ll watch the game tonight after work but very interested to see how Alex Murphy gets on, his performance against Celtic was great other than one lapse in concentration. His ball carrying and rotations with Gordon were impressive. #NUFC.
