An honor so big I have to use my full government name. I am extremely proud to announce I am the new Navajo Nation Poet Laureate. Shinalí Luci Tapahonso and Shadí Laura Tohe did so much for Diné literature and poetry, I'm honored to follow in their footsteps.

I am searching for Navajo scientists (preferably geologist, environmental scientist, botanist) who has time this summer to talk with me about the Navajo Rez and climate change. I will compensate them for their time. Comment below or send me a message.

You have to pregame to avoid spending a lot at the club. I’m talking about bottom shelf liquor poured into a Big Gulp. No espresso martinis here. Then, you go to the club and dance in business casual outfits. That’s how you survive a recession. Dancing to @KeshaRose.

There are only a handful of novels written by Diné authors but there are endless stories. I’m happy to share one with you, soon.

Poetry requires time. It requires change and reorientations. It begs it of us. Poetry does not require a “classics” or “canon.” Its only tradition is language and language is our first instinct; when we’re first born, we cry out.
