BR is enjoyed by the traditional stat enjoyers. (broad view) Fangraphs is enjoyed by those more into advanced metrics (also better for leaderboards/splits/etc.) Both are fine to use, but I’ve always felt that fangraphs provides a clearer picture overall. Just my opinion.
i love baseball reference so much. i use it all the time and i don’t understand why anyone uses anything else. “fangraphs WAR is better” have you seen fangraphs? have you seen the way fangraphs looks? to the eyes?
