After two years of immense pain and loss, the news of a ceasefire brings hope. May this be the beginning of lasting peace, a two-state solution, and healing for all who have suffered.

Canada welcomes the agreement of Israel and Hamas to implement the first phase of the peace plan put forward by President Trump, and facilitated by Qatar, Egypt and Türkiye.

Two years ago, the terrorist organisation Hamas launched a heinous attack against Israeli civilians. Today, and every day, we stand with the victims, their families, and the Jewish community, who continue to carry unimaginable grief.
