20 years in WordPress + eCommerce has taught me one thing: the premium plugin ecosystem is broken. So we built something new. ✨ Simple. ✨ Honest. ✨ Anxiety-free. Meet Simpull →
Planning for a launch at @WordCampUS 🤩. Let's just say that we're gonna keep it simple, and that's a good thing.

Yesterday at church the Bible readings started on page 66-67 of the missal, and my 5-year-old went absolutely nuts repeating "six seven" like 10 times. And now I think we need to make this narrow exception to the first amendment and ban these numbers forever.

A few things I've noticed as all devs write code with AI. When you write foundational / architectural code of a new project by hand, you "feel" the code pushing back if your abstraction isn't right. You feel when something is harder than it should be. The code is telling you

The data on self-driving cars, including Waymo and to some extent Tesla, shows they are already overwhelmingly safer than human-operated vehicles. With 40,000 people dying on our roads every year, we can save tens of thousands of lives by expanding access to this technology.
I have a guest essay in @nytimes today about autonomous vehicle safety. I wrote it because I’m tired of seeing children die. Done right, we can eliminate car crashes as a leading cause of death in the United States @Waymo recently released data covering nearly 100 million

We no longer hire developers who are AI-averse, and AI-first engineers float to the top of our list. this is the way. been saying it for years now, but it's becoming more and more true - AI *probably* won't replace developers, but developers who use AI sure will.
I wrote zero lines of this code. I think things are changing more rapidly than I understood. I probably spent 30 minutes talking to Opus 4.5 about it, and now I have a fully functioning tool. And I'm making more tools every day. I don't think we're slowing down!

The whole “it takes 21 days to form a new habit”… is false. the data say 7 to 200+ days. Even with consistency. Depends much on how well you manage what I call limbic friction (not a technical term). The solution is easy. Explained here. 30 min episode.

Time to open a new chapter of open source, together. Tomorrow is State of the Word 2025, the biggest @WordPress event of the year. Expect platform updates, what’s new to Version 6.9, and, of course, a keynote address from @photomatt. It’s all happening live in San Francisco and

4/ DEVICE-BASED LICENSING No accounts. No passwords. Browser generates UUID → stored in localStorage → passed to Stripe as client_reference_id → purchase linked to device. For a $5 product, friction matters more than account portability. (will prob change this later)

2/ THE BOOKMARKLET FROM HELL Amazon's DOM structure varies by: * Desktop vs mobile * Account age (different UI rollouts) * Region * Order type (digital vs physical) * Current version: v22. Each 🐛 report = new extraction strategy. 🫠

1/ THE PRIVACY MODEL Your Amazon data never touches my servers. All parsing happens in your browser. Upload a CSV? Parsed client-side. Use the bookmarklet? Extracts and processes locally. The only server calls are for optional features (sharing, AI analysis).

Here's the technical breakdown: The Haul shows your shopping personality, spending patterns, and finds money you're wasting on repeat purchases. Here's how it works: 👇
