Some thoughts on the persistence of indigenous resistance in the PNW, viral imperialism, Biden pumping billions to cops and the Pentagon, how Eisenstein almost ended up in Stalin's gulag, Miles' Lambourghini, & the legacy of the great Marshall Sahlins... https://t.co/VAIB8dgP60

I spent a few days last week at the mouth of the Columbia River, talking with members of the Chinook tribal people, whose ties to these tidal flats, rivers and coastal rainforests date back at least...

Seems appropriate. Are they aiming at Ireland, the Malvinas or Meghan and Harry's palazzo in Ojai?

This is a lie. Protesters did not storm Iowa’s Capitol...they had a permit, they went through security, the building is open to the public. Per Des Moines Register, the one arrest was of a high school student an officer claimed “pushed my arm in an attempt to gain my attention."

Reviewing another attorney's contract with my client - $15,000 to apply for a U visa if paid in full. $17,500 if paid through a predatory lender the attorney recommends. So, the attorney makes $2,500 more just because you're poor, not bc they're doing $2,500 more worth of work.

@JSCCounterPunch Singularity: Never was there a presidential initiative with the sole purpose of de-mobilizing a Left #movement. Having watched #grapeboycott & #antiApartheid struggles, Clinton called in many chits to strangle the #antisweatshop rabble in their cradle. Architect: @genebsperling

Prince Philip to European aristocracy was what Donald Trump is to American "liberal democracy": an embarrassment—the men who flaunt the ugly truth from under the thin veneer of their bourgeois etiquette.

Prince Philip has done the world an extraordinary service by exposing the racist hypocrisy of "Western civilisation".

Silent? You're some of the biggest loudmouths on the friggin' planet.
Rep. Matt Gaetz: "I hear the millions of Americans who feel forgotten, canceled, ignored, marginalized and targeted. I draw confidence knowing the silent majority is growing louder by the day in this great country." https://t.co/ycq6cheUDu

2 of ?/ So I just went for a bike ride, when I do some of my best thinking, and this came back to me for some reason. Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 had come out. Was it agitprop to some extent? Yes, it was, but it was also a great piece of anti-war filmmaking and saved lives...

I'd forgotten that THE BATTLE OF ALGIERS begins with French soldiers "encouraging" an Algerian broken by torture. And I'm sickened that General Petreaus and his merry band of counterinsurgents used it as a training film for their dirty little wars. https://t.co/g9IE6ax5fR

President Biden wants $715 billion for the Dept. of Defense, a 1.5% increase over last year. The already inflated Pentagon budget did nothing to protect us from a global pandemic, an economic recession, or the climate crisis. Increasing that budget now would be a grave mistake.

It doesn't seem to matter how well the grizzlies "behave," the ranchers, and their govt. death squads, are going to kill them anyway... https://t.co/CYJgqpKcB8
