Some of us are young enough to remember that this is how things started with Joh Bjelke-Petersen, the Premier of a corrupt Queensland government. Every step could be 'sold' as reasonable in isolation; however, over time, free speech and freedoms to protest were withdrawn.
The Liberals and Nationals have a plan to combat threatening behaviour while protecting the right to protest. A government I lead will give police the ability to work with organisers in advance, plan properly, and take strong action when protests become dangerous or unlawful.
