Police say a Pit Bull that attacked a small dog last month in center city was located today and at ACCT Philly for evaluation. The Pit Bull’s owner is described as a homeless woman was arrested for an unrelated matter. Police are investigating a couple of other attacks.

I interviewed #JaneGoodall in 2015 in Rosemont PA. She told me that her research proved early science wrong, and that animals like chimpanzees do in fact have personalities and capable of reasoning. She said she learned that was possible from her childhood dog Rusty. #RIP

#RIP #JaneGoodall I interviewed the conservationist and animal welfare advocate when she visited a school in the Philly burbs back in Sept. 2015. Goodall died of natural causes while on a speaking tour in California. She was 91.

I went to the @PhillyZoo today, where 4 critically endangered Western Santa Cruz Galapagos Tortoises have recently hatched. Their mother named “Mommy” is around 100 years old. She is now the world’s oldest first-time mother of her species. Hatchlings go on exhibit April 24th.
