🌿 Ever wonder where we get the browse that we feed many of our animals at the Zoo? @PECOconnect donates twigs and branches from their preventative tree-trimming program to the Zoo from June through September, allowing us to feed about 80 different species in our care!

Everyone say hello to Violet the skunk! 👋🦨 Violet joined the Philly Zoo fam with her brother, Koa, as part of our Ambassador Animal Program! Together, they'll help visitors learn about a native species that’s often misunderstood but still plays a vital role in our ecosystem.

Milk and cookies? ❌ Milk and raw meat? ✅ Training sessions with Wiz the Amur tiger helps him to strengthen bonds with his animal care team. Foods like raw meat, and treats such as milk, are used as positive reinforcement when he performs certain behaviors!
