Great point. Not discussed enough - can be cliff for companies finding their way just when they start breaking through. @garrytan.
Venture debt seems like a good idea but only if it goes well tbh. When it goes poorly you are better off making it work without the extra runway, since there is a fatal pinch at the end when the debt covenants trip and they sweep your balance sheet. Equity holders and founders.
