We just received a rejection. Besides many reasonable comments, which I would be happy to address, we got this: "The primary weaknesses with the study and manuscript in their current form is very a small effect size for the primary results." .I am lost for words.

Can functional brain scans transform psychiatry? . Or are they too unreliable to tell us anything about the individual? I asked 7 passionate neuroscientists with 7 different opinions. In short: they might - if we reconsider how we look at the brain.

Can you rely on your favorite fMRI task for prediction or classification? We (w/ @JHFroehner @glassybrain) show that the parametric value contrast in a delay disc task is not reliable, but the offer con is. Paper+fmreli TB are out now @NeuroImage_EiC.
