Have you seen Provincial Offences Officers, or POO, on the TTC? 💩 Funny name aside, there's cause for concern - the TTC has taken harsher steps to fare enforcement in the past few years. What riders really need is less P.O.O. and more reliable, frequent, and affordable transit!

It is not just the US ramping up state capacity for mass removal. Migrants are being demonized and made disposable across national borders.

The bubble zone bylaw that passed is even worse than the one that was proposed. Huge appreciation for the ton of folks who mobilized against this, and while the criminalization of dissent is now further emboldened, unjust laws have never stopped movements fighting for justice.

Today, City Council voted to restrict protest in Toronto. This is an affront to our rights—weakening Charter protections. This comes at a substantive cost to us all. I have worked and voted against this, and spoke about why 👇 https://t.co/EXjJGd2abs

What was the purpose of the city consulting with the public? 90%+ were against the by law. This will definitely be another charter challenge.

The bubble zone debate at Toronto city council today is part of a national trend Similar laws are popping up everywhere, especially in response to Palestine solidarity actions, and they pose a serious threat to free expression and dissent My latest https://t.co/t6qSEDbBpG

Chow voted for the bubble zone bylaw. Knowing that the vast majority of respondents to her ridiculous survey rejected it. And that every major civil society group opposed it. She has long abandoned her base and her principles.
