So I've heard from many that CR seems to be using AI to produce dub CCs. Now, thanks to a slip-up with episode 6 dub of The Banished Court Magician, we can say that with 100% certainty: Crunchyroll is using the AI service Ollang for its dub closed captions!

Crunchyroll situation just keeps getting worse. They were just caught red-handed using AI to generate dub captions - outed by their own increasingly terrible quality control!
Crunchyroll's episode 6 dub release of The Banished Court Magician was late, probably due to some internal issues. When it finally went up, the primary JP-EN subtitle track had been accidentally replaced with a dub closed caption track revealing Ollang in the file headers.

Why is everyone so paranoid about bootleg anime DVDs again, out of the blue? More importantly, why are people still buying DVDs!? Blu-rays are almost impossible to pirate at scale – you have to burn every single one.
