I bet the next major downturn will have something to do with off-balance-sheet debt. Might be big money games: structured credit, asset-backed financing, SLBs, idk. Could be the low-end consumer getting crushed by BNPL burritos. Idk the what/how/when/how bad but prob bad.

When I was in school, our fraternity treasurer stole ~$50k over his 12-month term (literally no monitoring lol). Next guy caught him instantly, and all of the sudden we had an “extra” $50k. What’d we do? Spent $50k more on our spring party - it was amazing. Boy math.
