I grew up a few blocks from here and it was such an honor to speak at the ribbon cutting for 113 new units of affordable housing in my hometown of Cornelius. This project pairs the Metro bond with supportive services, critical for addressing regional homelessness.

Earlier today the @HillsboroHops broke ground on their NEW stadium. Honored to join the ceremony. A huge win for the westside. It took a lot of partnerships to get here. #GoHops

To me CorneliusLink makes the case for why other projects in this area, like the big TV Highway project that @OregonMetro and @TriMet and local partners are leading, are important. Our community deserves more services and access.

We began working on additional transit service to this area nearly 5 years ago. Many of the policies that Metro and JPACT have been working on with the regional transportation plan (RTP) include major investments for last mile improvements.

Grateful to have shared in the inaugural event this morning at the Cornelius library w/ officials from @WashcoOregon, the Cities of @CorneliusOregon + Forest Grove. I’ve learned from my time in transpo policy that projects like this take a long time to come into fruition.

Today we took steps to address historic harms and to write a new future for Portland, this region and Oregon. Tremendous leadership from the @albinavisiontrust, Historic Albina Advisory Board, @pbotinfo, @oregondot and @oregonmetro to land.

Today I’m proud to have voted as Metro Councilor and JPACT Chair to approve and program the historic $450 million reconnecting communities grant to build a highway cover in the I5 Rose Quarter and re-knit the Albina community. The Metro Council voted unanimously to approve.
