JCEP is proud to have been a partner for the 33rd International Conference on Photonic, Electronic and Atomic Collisions (@icpeac2023_ca), supporting students from developing countries to come to Ottawa and learn the latest science from the trailblazers in their field.

JCEP fellows have applied @photonics to a problem in interstellar chemistry:.
We discovered a new, efficient path to form the small but essential-for-life molecule H3(+). This might explain why there is more of it in interstellar space than we expected. Read our paper in @NatureChemistry here: Congrats, Dr. Yonghao Mi & coworkers!

The JCEP collaboration between @uOttawa's @MenardLab and @NRC_CNRC's Dr. Angela Gamouras produced a much-improved tool for ultrafast THz science:.👉
We show that scientific breakthroughs can be used to lower costs & increase practicality of lab equipment. The collaboration with @OZOptics & @NRC_CNRC removes hurdles to a large-scale deployment of THz technology. @JCEP8 @uOttawaScience @uOttawaResearch.

2023 is barely 3 months old and JCEP fellow Paul Corkum together with Anne l’Huillier and Ferenc Krausz have been honoured for their contributions to attosecond science by @FundacionBBVA. Congratulations Paul!
Premio Fronteras del Conocimiento en #CienciasBásicas a Anne L'Huillier, Paul Corkum y Ferenc Krausz por hacer posible la observación del movimiento de partículas subatómicas en la escala de tiempo más breve captada por el ser humano. ¡Enhorabuena!

Congratulations to JCEP PDF Dr. Sohail Jalil for leading a project that was just published in #OSA_Optica. This beautiful work demonstrates how plasmonic metasurfaces provide polarization control of the generated harmonic radiation.
