It’s finally official! Out of 14 weight classes, we will be bringing ALL 14 kids with 13 State Qualifiers and 1 State Alternate!!! It’s a historic day for our program and without question, the most impressive turnout I’ve ever had! Proud is an understatement!!!.

EXCITING UPDATE: Joliet Catholic is competing in 3A next year!!! 6 years ago this program was on the brink of closing. We have always been a 1A school and I’ve never hesitated to petition up to 2A. Today, I’m honored to say our success has brought us to our next challenge…3A!!!.

Coaching a team state championship has eluded me for 20 years…until now! I wanted it so badly for these kids. This is an achievement they’ll never forget. I sacrificed my health, my career, and much of my time. I was obsessed. It was worth it. Time for bed. Grind for #2 tomorrow.

Yes I’m posting this under my Joliet Catholic twitter account. This is my youngest of 5, Keegan. While he has seen so much success in the sport, today he became a state champion for the first time. Watching him wrestle with so much confidence gives me so much pride! Way to go!!!

I was proud to be inducted into the Hall of Fame for @PCHSWrestle 1999 State Championship team as captain and MVP. Much of what I learned in my high school wrestling years has made me the coach I am today. Don’t worry…I wore brown and blue to the ceremony 😉
