I started a YouTube channel a few weeks ago to combat the misinformation in trading. Full disclosure: I’m not a YouTuber so you are going to see low quality production, nothing to sell ever, no coaching, no stupid ass discords, etc. Just free information.

@MichaelPatak
here’s some constructive criticism from an actual professional trader:
Regarding the combine -
1. Trailing drawdown has to go - It serves no purpose. It resembles nothing I have ever heard of in a real prop environment (eliminating this can only

I respect you responding I really do. I believe in you and your company. I want to keep this civil but you know that’s not true man. This is purely meant to trip traders up and cause excessive trading.
I’ll use myself as an example:
Just passed your combine trading 1-2
Aside from finding my edges, my biggest breakthrough in my trading was creating a daily loss limit. Eliminating blow up days literally saved my career. The way to calculate it is averaging last 5 winning days. Only other person I heard talk about this is
@SperoTrades
The wider stop you use, the less skill you have. Sorry but it’s just the way it is. Some of the best futures traders in the world will cut a huge position if it goes two ticks against them. If you’re right in the trade it should immediately be going in the right direction
I’m about to start charging for all the info I share. It’s crazy the amount of losers on here that cry because I tell the truth.
1. Large stop loss = bad at trading
2. Poor RR = bad at trading
3. Focus on Psychology = bad at trading
4. Never post executions = bad at trading
@MichaelPatak
@Topstep
Exactly, and that leads to my point. The “traders” scaling in, averaging in, etc don’t know the difference nor the terminology. Yet this is the strategy they are using….. That should be a massive red flag.
@Topstep
Your next post should be about how you’re dangerously close to committing fraud. Real prop firms don’t have you make $200+ for 5 days before you can withdraw…. Literally makes 0 sense. You want traders to fail not succeed

Brian and I trade completely differently however we both trade the Risk Reward game which is all the matters.
@madaznfootballr
Remember when I mentioned your risk of ruin the other day big dog? You need a Daily loss limit man.
You’ll bounce back though you got this! Don’t let this bad day get you down. We all have been there before!
Green day. Nice capitulation trade I walk you guys through. Video will be uploaded tonight or tomorrow morning.
I explain one of my favorite setups I use almost everyday. This will be the only setup I ever give out for free.
I’m working on a video series giving you guys my entire system (obviously not my exact edge but you’ll see my edge is based off math making it 100x to find yours) but literally my exact system. I’ll do a video on each
1. Daily Loss Limit
2. Finding Edge
3. # of trades per day
$4k scalp and we are done. I’m finding my set ups only occur maybe 6-7 times per day and I’m only taking one or two with larger (for me) size. I’m only staying in trades 30 seconds or so the next question is can I size up?

I get that I really do. I think scaling in is always okay but I was taught from day 1 to never add to a loser. It was a rule. If you didn’t follow that rule you were gone.
Also I traded profitably with DCA as well for a couple years but eventually lost it all. IMO it’s just
$13,400 minus commissions today 2 for 2 $NQ. Left a few points on the table but overall almost perfect entries.
Lost a couple thousand last night due to not following my rules. Honestly embarrassing since I had a couple perfect setups.
Overall great day though today feels
Here are my trading stats from passing the

combine during my review. Although my risk management wasn’t ideal one day, the rest of the days I executed properly. Credit to TopStep for the quick process.
Also I’ve been pretty hard on them and don’t agree with a lot of

on R-Factor. It really drives home the point I’m always trying to make about how you should always be looking at trading from a mathematical standpoint.
New hard update to my rules. 5 trade per day limit. I’ve loosely been using implementing it however after today it’s a necessity.
The more trades I take the less money I make and the more pissed off I get. So we are fixing that going forward.
Also I will be making a video on

I respect your opinion but I disagree about the framework for success. Someone as experienced as myself isn’t going to struggle, it’s the aspiring traders that are and that’s who I’m advocating for.
From my research of the online prop space, these guys are probably the best.
There rules are fair and pretty straightforward to my knowledge.
I believe if you’re able to trade your personal account you always should however if you’re starting out and low on capital these guys
Solid short on $NQ. Took a couple small losses trying to find it.
This is the third day in a row I’ve traded a different futures product. I trade 9+ markets and I’m always targeting the one in-play. $GC $YS $YM
I decided to put my money where my mouth is and purchase a

. First video on edge. I’ll be doing a 7 or 8 part series showing examples of everything I talk about. I’m super sick so I apologize for the voice. Hope this helps.
My favorite exercise to keep me mentally locked into trading is playing 3m blitz chess for a little bit each day. I do modify it slightly by only giving myself 1 min and giving them 3.
The quick deep thinking seems to really keep my mind locked in to making complicated
Would also like to add that
@BrianLeeTrades
also trades mean reversion like I do. A lot of inexperienced traders look at this like catching a falling knife HOWEVER they fail to realize in most cases this gives you the best EV. This is a right and wrong way to go about it.

I hate to break it to people but volume plays no role in trading whatsoever. You’re trying to solve the problem from a random irrelevant point. All volume shows is what was bought or sold there at some point. Be more linear in your problem solving.
. Hope this helps someone. This is a long video but I go super in-depth about a lot of stuff including dynamic stops and targets, reading price second by second, and trading price action in general. Let me know if you guys prefer this style of video
@AT09_Trader
I hated the first two years of trading. Probably one of the most difficult learning curves of any profession.
Favorite part is knowing you succeeded at something that most people (95%+)will fail at.
My best tip for any trader that isn’t consistently profitable yet:
Focus on scalping a 1 min chart before anything else. Put all your time into learning this first then you can build out later of you want.
I’m going to record me building an entire strategy from nothing tonight. I will try my best to create a live working edge in front of you that we all can use. No promises but I can probably get pretty close to at least give everyone struggling a starting point.
My thoughts on my trading currently specifically pertaining to futures:
I’m almost 3/4 of the way to 10k hours of screen time. Honestly I’m at the point now where I feel like I could sit across the table from any futures trader in the world and feel like I could compete. That’s
Hey
@topstep
@MichaelPatak
care to explain this one? Every time I entered a trade the last 3 days I get random fills and even when I’m in profit it says I’m losing my and account goes down……… literally while I’m doing a review of your company…….
Celebrate others success don’t piss on it because you aren’t on their level. That is a losers mentality.
Every time I post a PnL and people like it, it inspires me to give back.
Celebrate wins celebrate wins celebrate wins
Btw +$6435 today
Quick memo to all the PnL posting traders out there:
FUCKIN STOP IT!
By all means post entries and exits of a winning trade, and explain your mechanics, that is indeed helpful
But good traders don't brag about their profits, guys trying to stroke their egos, or traders trying
So I did a rough calculation of how many hours I have invested in trading:
Total Studying (Books, Videos, Trading, Backtesting, Etc = 9100 hours
Screen Time specifically = 5000-6000 hours
I’ve only taken 1 full trading day off in the past 2.5 years.
My best advice -
1.
11.8R for the day.
2 trades 50% Win Rate
Entry was per system but saw the trade much earlier.
Some slippage on the fill but exit was clean.
Not a ton of ops today so going to call it here.
The most ironic thing is professional traders scoff at Mark Douglas “trading psychology” vids and new traders think they are the gospel for “trading psychology”. He literally explains his trading system word for word and it’s what I use to make a living. Open your fucking ears 😂
I encourage everyone to record their trading live with audio. It’s incredible to see all the simple mistakes you are making that you don’t even notice.
As I started rewatching my recordings this week preparing to upload them I not only found some crazy flaws in my trading but I

I’ve been a 5 figure per month $NQ and $ES scalper for 4+ years and I don’t recall one single time I had to “Request” aka ASK for a payout………Let traders simply WITHDRAW THEIR $ THEY MADE
Small green day basically breakeven. I’m done. Took too many trades and finally caught the massive short but exited early due to trading PnL. Live to fight another day

Apex is garbage I started a review then stopped when I saw some of the surveys they put out. Saw they weren’t paying people. It was unprofessional and embarrassing. 0/10
My trading parameters for the upcoming week:
1. -$500 per contract DLL and that goes for all futures instruments.
2. I’m allowed one losing day per week. If I have two losing days I need to size down and revaluate exactly what I’m doing
3. Use intraday growth formula after
In the 10+ years of being on Twitter this is easily one of the best ideas put out there on a silver platter. Took a massive trade using this today. Easy as they come folks.
I want to add this isn’t just about shorting the index.
This opens up the beta trade.
Pick the most extended stocks that show even better odds and stack it on top of the positive odds on $SPY.
You’ll get the natural movement of $SPY baked into the price and natural panic on
. This a really good friend of mine that I did real estate with. Super intelligent guy. He taught me more than anyone ever has about money as well.
Even though I hate real estate it is what gave me the financial opportunity to take on trading. So anyone
Volatility and your strategies MAY be mutually exclusive. Most of mine are.
Read that 50 more times until it clicks and it will save you years of wasted time.
All my strategies and setups are dog shit in a backtest but super consistent when I trade them.
Why? Interpretation
There will never be a time where you should be trading with more than one contract/share if you don’t have a proven edge. Never. Never more than that till you dial in what you’re doing. Once I found my edge I went from 1 to 10 to 20 in a few weeks.
No exaggeration I’ve been up almost $30k on the day and have -$700 to show for it. Absolutely disgusting. $NQ I might be moving on. Bottom tick after bottom tick
Super important data point to keep track of: $VIX
It doesn’t matter if you trade stocks, options, futures, forex, etc.
It doesn’t matter what your strategy is.
Volatility is ALWAYS a factor
Executions today on $NQ a bunch of L scalps and a perfect long from 19100ish to 19190. This is not normal for me as I prefer small scalps but I’ll certainly take it
I’m in the process of moving but have a lot of really cool videos coming up - finding an edge live, Risk Reward, building an entire trading system + more. Most are already recorded just need to upload.
I find it extremely ironic how your claim to fame is calling out “fraudsters” yet you have a Patreon selling trading information WHILE openly admitting you’re not profitable…..
This space is a cesspool
IMO as an intraday trader if you come into the market with a Bearish or Bullish thesis you’re immediately backwards. The less I care about or “think” about where the market will go the more money I make.
Losing day. Win streak over. 100% my fault today no excuse. A lot of easy trades and was in profit every trade just some really brain dead entries.
I don’t mind losing but when I start making bad decisions it becomes a problem. If I make the same mistakes again one more time
If you never traded a live personal account you can’t call yourself a trader. If you haven’t lost AND gained $1k+ on a real live account trade, you can’t call yourself a trader.
Consolidation so far today in $NQ. I’m leaving in about 15 minutes but I wouldn’t be shocked to see a huge move to the downside. I have no idea obviously and better traders than me are looking at longs but typically the market does the complete opposite of what the majority
I don’t see how someone can moonlight as a trader.If trading isn’t consuming your life you’re probably not going to succeed. I tracked how many hours I studied or traded and for 2+ years it was around 10 hours a day 7 days a week. You have no life outside of this in the beginning
“Good luck with $GC haha”
3 for 3 today on $GC with one of my largest winners of the year + spent under 2 minutes in drawdown….
YOUR setups dictate what instrument gives YOU the best EV on YOUR trades.
I’ve been working on something pretty cool for you guys. I think I finally found a legit prop firm for futures. Talking with them now getting some more info but is going to be 10x easier to pass and get paid.
Would you guys be interested in a video series of me testing a futures prop firm? I tried them quite a while ago but wasn’t a fan. Heard there are a lot of new changes. Do you guys use them?
4/24 recap: $76,787.97
If you followed along, earlier in the month started off terribly. Didn’t have much expectations for the rest of the month other than tightening up my risk and pickiness. Along came $DXYZ and brought both my biggest days this month. Add in some solid wins
1 for 2 on $NQ big green day with an extremely late start. Since I’m having download issues I will attach screenshots of the trades and do full write ups on both days tonight.
Today was simple PA off level scalps and yesterday was my Cap trade
As I’m doing this test on online prop firms I came across something super interesting in my data - I’ve taken under 10 evals and never passed one or came close to passing one (I’ve been profitable for years on a real account) yet I see tons of people on YT who admittedly aren’t
$7300 1 for 2. Quick scratch then a perfect trade. $25k+ left on the table. Still trying to figure how to let my winners run a little (I hate scaling out/in). Starting to get back to my old form. $NQ
+$3990 Crazy day. I have the building an edge live video almost done would have finished it today but the

situation is still on going with no response from them yet. It’s been almost 24 hours and no response from them..
Max loss- was up like $4500 but got greedy from missing out on the two perfect setups. Oh well. Learning process when trying to capture bigger moves.
This is why I stress the importance of RR.
I’ve had two max losses in the past 5 days or so. A lot of traders including my old
I haven’t tried TopStepX however I did notice during my review there were certain times I was getting weird delays/slippage that didn’t make any sense. I trade a live account through NT with 20 contracts and never experienced those issues…
