In Meru, Kimongoro Tree Nursery Group is producing grafted avocado & indigenous tree seedlings that feed directly into Kenya’s 15 Billion Tree campaign. Supported by TWENDE partner @kilimoKE, they’re not only greening the landscape but also driving job creation and income growth.

Today, the TWENDE team hosted @theGCF’s Katarzyna Lesiuk in Tharaka Nithi & Meru counties to witness real impact on the ground. In Marimanti, supported by @justdiggit the Kaume B Fodder Group is greening rangelands through seed banking, hay production, & climate-smart training.

The discussions built on the momentum of the #AfricaConservationForum (ACF) hosted by the @WildlifeKe_ in Nairobi in June 2024, focusing on Kenya’s active participation in the upcoming @IUCN World Conservation Congress (WCC) #IUCNcongress in Abu Dhabi from 9–15 October 2025.
