All this talk about inflation, the cost of grocery, rent, housing prices would be a non factor if people wages went up. Like if minimum wage was actually 25 an hr, I don’t think ppl would worry as much about the cost of eggs

Something I’ve said for years. All these shorten the season advocates don’t get how this quant culture works. If there’s a data point that says rest benefits winning after the NBA shortens the season, teams will do the same damn thing they did when it was 82 games long!!!
The thing about shortening the season: the Darryn Peterson stuff in college just shows you it doesn’t matter how many games there are, teams and players will still try game the system and miss games anyway. 82 games is fine, it’s always been fine and will continue to be fine.

Saying every game matters when 68 teams (which will be more soon) make the tournament is kinda crazy lol and all 68 of those teams aren’t good
The NBA just has so many bad teams - and tanking teams right now. It’s also obviously a longer season with far more meaningless games. Every game matters in college hoops - and there is more talent than I can remember due to the $$$$.

This is really insane.
Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss has been granted a sixth season of eligibility by a state court judge in Mississippi, per @PeteThamel. Chambliss received an injunction today, which paves the way for him to play in 2026 after the NCAA ruled he was eligibility. The NCAA can appeal.
