It breaks my heart to say that Dad has been diagnosed with COVID-19, and is currently hospitalised and on a ventilator. We don't know what happens next, sp please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. If you aren't taking this virus serious already, I plead with you to do so now.

My wonderful and wild father passed away in his sleep this morning, after fighting this virus until the very end. Nothing more could have been done for him. I miss him so much already and still cannot believe he’s gone. Rest in Peace Papa Chewwy, you old sod.

Mum and I have just got home from saying goodbye to our beloved Godfrey, who has unfortunately lost his battle with this horrible virus. He’s at peace and when he drifts off will do so in no discomfort. Please pray for us here, we do not know what happens now for us.
I feel like I’ve jinxed it. Dad has deteriorated again once out of ICU and on a ward. Not too sure what’s happening but he’s taken a step back after the good news this week. I will be very quiet over the next few days as I need to be with mum and help her deal with this.

It’s a sunny day today, just like it was a year ago today when you left us. You would be so angry that this virus is still killing people, but so relieved that mum got her second vaccine just yesterday. We miss you every single day, and home still feels so empty. I love you Dad.

Dad had his ventilation tube removed on Tuesday and apparently was sat up on the side of his bed drinking tea and flirting with the nurses within 24 hours. Still very weak but will be moved out of ICU soon hopefully. Not at the finish line yet, but this is a huge step forward!
Dad is still in intensive care, however, things are looking more positive than they were at the start of this week. We are not out of the woods and it is going to be a long journey, but he is still fighting! Mum and I remain safe at home with the cats but are missing him dearly.

Today marks the start of a new chapter for me as last night I took my final dose of anti-depressants after 6 long years, and 2 months of slowly reducing the dosage to nil. I don’t usually share this kinda thing online, but “New Year New Me” and all that jazz right? 🙂

After 38 days of strict lockdown at home, I’m finally allowed out of the house again. I doubt I’ll ever know if I caught the virus from Dad, or avoided it somehow, but I’ve played it overly safe. So glad I didn’t miss all of the lovely weather and can now go for a walk! 🙂☀️

Crazy how pets can just sense you’re upset. Sitting in bed quietly reflecting on the past few months and generally missing Dad a lot, and Timmie jumps onto the bed and makes a fuss of me almost as if Dad sent him to make sure I was okay. 4 months but feels like it’s been 4 years.

Yesterday was tough, and didn’t feel like Christmas at all. There’s a notable gap at home everyday without Dad, but yesterday was much worse. If you couldn’t visit loved ones this Christmas, just remember it was to ensure this virus doesn’t land your family in the same scenario.

A bitter sweet day. Mum had an unexpected text inviting her for her first COVID-19 vaccine, which she received today. Although we’re happy it’s the start of a new chapter for us, we’re sad it was too late for Dad to have been saved by the same thing. I hope he’s smiling for her!

Dad is a little less lonely this evening, as we’ve discovered my Trumpet teacher of over 10 years and a dear family friend has passed away. I still have the trumpet he taught me on from the age of 5, so I’m spending this evening making sure it’s still in good working order. 🎺

Somehow in two months I’ve gone from 106kg (234lbs) to 99kg (218lbs). 7KG/16lbs/over 1 stone lost from purely eating clean and training 5 days a week. I also got member of the month at my gym! Still got way more to go yet...this is just the start. (Sorry for cheesy tweet) 💪🏻
