One of our PhDs, recently delivered an insightful lecture on Computer Graphics as part of his outreach activity in his home country, Algeria! 🇩🇿🎓 The lecture was hosted at the research and education Centre NB, where he shared his expertise in the field of CG with the students.💻

The meeting was full of great presentations: ESRs made great progress and presented the results of their work so far. We enjoyed the keynote from leading expert @ktollmar, and planning the future of computer graphics over good food. See you all at the next research conferences!

So here it is - the autumn of our project @ItnPrime...Although the project officially runs until next August, the fellowships of our young researchers are gradually ending. And so we recently officially met for the last time...Thank you @liu_universitet for hosting this meeting!

Highlights from PRIME meeting at Unizar @GILabUZ @I3Aunizar 26-29 Sep 2023. The ESRs, beneficiaries and partners joined for ESR updates, spectacular keynotes (@bernd_bickel, @DrAnaSerrano, Miika Aittala, @wenzeljakob), horizontal skills seminar and visiting beautiful Zaragoza.

Highlights from PRIME's meeting at FAU Erlangen from 19th March till 22nd March, 2023. The ESRs, beneficiaries, and partners joined the industry training sessions, career-building exercises, and other fun activities.

Secondments update: @Dlanza95 and @JuanRaulPadron recently started a collaboration between the Graphics and Imaging at @unizar and @DTU_VisualComp led by Prof. Jeppe Frisvad. In the programme, short talks about their research and treasure hunt game!

Philippe Weier (@PhilippeWeier, ESR 05) recently joined the @intel Graphics Research Group for a secondment where he is currently working on novel neural representations for gpu-accelerated physically based rendering.

Arthur Firmino (@apvfirmino, ESR 04) has been collaborating with @Saar_Uni Computer Graphics group on novel ways of using image denoising techniques to improve rendering quality as part of an official EU PRIME secondment.

(5 / 6) On the Influence of Dynamic Illumination in the Perception of Translucency: @Dlanza95 and co-authors analyze how well human observers esti-mate the density of translucent objects for static and dynamic illumination scenarios. More info

(4 / 6) ReLU Fields: @AnimeshKarnewar and co-authors investigate the smallest change to grid-based representations that allows for retaining the high fidelity result of MLPs while enabling fast reconstruction and rendering times. The introduced change is surprisingly simple.
