Lovely send off to St Mary’s this morning. Lots of memories shared. For me personally, 18 years of obstetric anaesthesia, 5 years planning and delivering the move and 3rd baby born in room A 16 years ago. Theatre looks very bare! @UHD_NHS

Our St Mary's Maternity Unit is now closed and there are no staff on site at the unit. If you need Maternity services go to the BEACH Building at the Royal Bournemouth – follow signs for zone B. If you need Early Pregnancy or Emergency Gynaecology services, go to the West Wing.

A great day - not surprisingly managed with supreme calm by the team. Everyone already commenting how much more privacy there is for patients as well as less noise, space & fancy lighting. So many can-do people - Ruth our critical care matron from initial design to move SRO 👏👏
Today, #TeamUHD celebrates a major milestone! 🎉 Our critical care team at RBH has moved into the new BEACH Building. With more services joining next week, RBH is on course to become the major emergency hospital for the region. A big thank you to all involved! 🙏🙏🙏

It’s amazing seeing everyone pull together as we get closer to using our new building. Found my new fave spot today in the children’s recreation room. Sadly no time to sit and soak up the sun!
